Choose the directions that match who is collecting the order. A customer needs to find your pickup point; a delivery courier also needs a clear handoff procedure. These three original English and Chinese drafts cover a pickup counter, a courier handoff and an entrance that is easy to miss.
Choose an example below, replace the bracketed details, and check both languages before copying or printing. Editing happens on this browser page; nothing is published to an account.
Customer pickup at the counter
ORDER PICKUP — [RESTAURANT]
Please collect your order at [pickup counter or location]. Show your order confirmation to our team so we can check the order before handing it over.
If it is still being prepared, please wait at [waiting location]; we will let you know when it is ready.
DELIVERY COURIER PICKUP
At [Restaurant], please enter through [entrance] and check in at [counter]. Show our team the order details in your delivery app.
Please wait at [waiting location] while we verify the order and hand you the matching bag. If you cannot find the order, ask [staff or contact point].
FIND YOUR PICKUP — [RESTAURANT]
Use the entrance at [street or landmark]. We are on [floor], next to [nearby sign or business]. The pickup point is [counter location].
Show your order confirmation to a team member. If you need help finding us, contact [monitored contact method].
Confirm the correct entrance, floor and counter before publishing either language.
Include only parking or waiting arrangements that your restaurant actually offers.
Keep names and order numbers out of public signs; ask the collector to show their own order details to staff.
Do not call an order ready until your team has confirmed it is ready.
Add the appropriate instructions to each ordering platform separately; editing or printing here does not update those settings.
Customer pickup and courier pickup need different directions
For a public counter sign, keep the location and next step short enough to read on arrival. For directions sent with an order, add the entrance or landmark before the handoff step. Separate customer and courier instructions when they use different counters. An arrival check-in is not a promise that food is ready. If a collector cannot find the order, explain how to ask staff instead of directing them to take an unverified bag.
